Since fifth grade, Otome Yamada has aspired to play the role of a heroine on stage. Upon entering high school, she joined the drama club, but her distinct anime-like voice relegated her to being a stagehand. Despite this setback, she auditions for a play, only to mistakenly wander into a recording studio for an anime series. Though her intrusion disrupts the recording, a talent scout takes notice of her artistry and offers her a job as a voice actress. Driven by her passion, Otome embraces the opportunity and starts working alongside the renowned voice actress, Suzu Ayase.
