Sachi Hanaoka is faced with the reality of living alone after losing her parents in a tragic accident. Adding to her struggles, her young landlord Kouichi Saonji insists that she leave her apartment due to inability to pay rent. However, Kouichi offers an unconventional solution - marriage. Sachi would become Kouichi's caretaker, easing the pressure from his family to marry, while relieving her financial burdens.
