Once upon a time, a demon named Blood was trapped in ice for many decades within a cave. His only hope for breaking the curse that bound him was to find the "tear jewel". One day, a kind-hearted youth named Ishuca stumbled upon the cave while seeking refuge in his illness. Blood began to feel a strange connection to Ishuca, but sadly, death ultimately took the young man. Overcome with sadness, Blood wept - and his tears transformed into the very jewel he had sought.
With the jewel in their possession, Blood and Ishuca embarked on a journey together. Along the way, Blood was reunited with old acquaintances, but his former companions' intentions to make him return to his old demonic ways conflicted with his desire to continue traveling with Ishuca. After opening up about his past, Blood promised never to harm humans again. Their travels eventually ushered them towards the Toei Cliffs, where they hoped to find the jewel that was requested by the dealer known as Wild.
