In early 1900s Vienna, the renowned tenor Dimitri Lewandowski tragically passes away and becomes the host for a vampire master's seeds. Though Dimitri initially denies the changes taking place within him, he eventually recognizes the horrific reality as his loved ones perish around him.
Fast forward to 2008 in Tokyo, where Azusa Kikukawa struggles with the end of a tumultuous romantic relationship that culminates in a deadly accident. In her dying moments, Dimitri appears to offer a sinister bargain: he will spare Azusa's lover if she consents to be the breeding ground for a new generation of vampire progeny.
