Shigeo Kageyama, also known as "Mob," is an eighth-grade student with extraordinary psychic abilities. Despite this, he keeps his powers hidden from the public, as they are both dangerous and obvious. Mob works alongside Arataka Reigen, a self-proclaimed esper, to refine and develop his psychic skills.
Together, Mob and Reigen spend their days ridding the world of malevolent spirits. Meanwhile, Mob harbors a secret crush on his childhood friend, Tsubomi Takane, and aims to become more appealing to her. However, as Mob's suppressed emotions continue to simmer, his life becomes increasingly complicated, and he feels stifled by his hidden feelings. The consequences of his unrelenting emotions are unforeseeable and potentially devastating.
