Six teenagers, aged 16 and 17, who go by the names Joe, Mario, Suppon, Baremoto, Heitai, and Kyabetsu, have been sent to a reformatory for committing crimes such as aggravated assault, swindling, and running away. Their time at the facility is nothing short of hellish from the start. They are housed with a pedophile doctor and subjected to the authority of a cruel and authoritarian staff. As they share a cell with a certain Sakuragi (referred to as Anchan), tensions rise between the group and their new 'friend'.
A fierce fight ensues, leaving the six prisoners beaten by a skilled boxer who remains unidentified.
The story not only chronicles the struggles of these seven individuals as they navigate their harsh surroundings, but also their disillusionment from being rejected by those close to them and the outside world. It highlights the extraordinary and unbreakable bonds between these young men.
