Takao Kasuga, a reserved middle school student, cherishes books, especially Charles Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal, and harbors a crush on Nanako Saeki, the popular darling of their class. On the other hand, Sawa Nakamura, who has no interest in academics, is unpleasant and impudent.
